A different kind of expertise

For more than 15 years, I’ve worked exclusively with families of children with learning differences navigating school placement in the Washington DC area. In that time, I’ve built relationships with admissions offices across the DMV, reviewed hundreds of evaluations and IEPs, visited 50+ schools, and guided hundreds of families through some of the most consequential educational decisions they will ever make. Prior to school placement, my work focused on advocating for children to receive appropriate services in school including IEPs and 504s. Above all else, I listen to what families actually need — and build everything from there.

One thing that sets my practice apart: I work with both public and private school options.

For some families, the right answer is a specialized public program with the resources and legal framework to support their child. For others, it’s a small private school that no one in their network has heard of yet. I help you find out which is best for your child and family.

“Most families don’t realize there are schools specifically designed to serve their child. My best days are the ones where I introduce a family to a school they didn’t know existed — and watch the relief come over their face.”

My practice focuses on day school placements for children with learning differences, ADHD, ASD, and social-emotional challenges. I do not place students in residential programs or handle placements for students with significant behavioral issues requiring therapeutic residential settings.
